They have a large amount of resources that are coming in tonight and will hit it hard beginning early AM Thursday.Īccording to Joseph Jones with Excelsior EMC they are assessing the damage and formulating an efficient restoration plan. Joel Hanner, Georgia Power Area Manager told Grice Connect that GPC crews will be working until midnight tonight, Wednesday, August 30 making small repairs and assessing damage. Power companies crews are very limited with what they can do to repair service with severe weather conditions. This has created significant issues for Excelsior EMC and Georgia Power Company. ![]() The combination of heavy rain and high wind gusts have also downed trees all over the county. Lee Eckles, Bulloch County Deputy Public Service Director reported average wind speeds of 14 mph with gusts over 30 mph. Reports of several pond dams busting has impacted roads as well.
